It’s been 9-months since I reached out to you for help. My father had just died suddenly and my sister-in-law was struggling with an advanced stage illness.
My brother, Rob and I were caught in a deep despair and grief, which seemed bottomless. When we spoke about coaching, I had no idea what would happen – just that Rob and I needed help; with not only our grief – but also our own disconnect from each other.
Each week we shared our experience and you provided us the space to look at the deeper issues associated with fear and loss. None of it was comfortable at the time; but to say it was helpful or productive would be a huge understatement.
What comes to mind is your enormous generosity of spirit, attention, and support. It’s such an honor to be in the presence of someone such as you – unconditionally accepting me even when I could not do so for myself. Thank you for that gift.
Perhaps the most unexpected experience being in conversation with Rob and you was that it allowed me to see myself as an individual in Rob’s eyes; and not just as the brother he grew up with (including all the baggage). Our relationship took a quantum leap forward.
Now that we are “graduating” from our weekly sessions, I want you to know how important a contribution you have made to my life.
With deep appreciation…
Brian

Testimonials
“I have had the pleasure of working with Sharon Roth-Lichtenfeld recently as a guest group leader for our caregiver café group for the Caregivers Coalition of Morris County. Sharon is a truly talented group leader who is able to work with group members with an ease that is both warm and engaging. She was able to work with a fairly large group and managed to allow everyone to have ample time to share their thoughts and feelings while asking focused questions. Sharon was able to handle diversity with grace and ease and was sensitive to participants of all backgrounds. I would welcome her to facilitate a group or speak on issues related to caregiving in the future as I felt she listened to my description of the audience and she welcomes the opportunity to tailor her material to fit the needs of the group. Thank You Sharon.”
